About me

Topic: Systemic gender equality transforms compliance into performance towards sustainable growth, innovation and attractiveness

“When we talk about gender equality in organizations, we often think of internal policies. However, the impact goes beyond organizational boundaries: it shapes how an entire ecosystem innovates, collaborates and grows. Starting from internal awareness, I would like to share how a gender equality strategy can become an infrastructure for regional development pushing a culture impactful and sustainable change — and what we have learned along the way.”

Drawing on the ART-ER experience, this session explores how a gender equality strategy transcends internal policies to become an infrastructure for regional growth, innovation, and competitiveness. Participants will gain insights into building a systemic strategy, moving from compliance to an improvement-oriented approach through integrated actions and responsible, shared governance. The strategy frames Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as a crucial driver for innovation and talent attraction, particularly in the context of artificial intelligence and digital transformations. Key points emphasize equality as a development strategy, the impact of a systemic approach, and the increasingly important role of intergenerational collaboration. The session will collectively address the challenge of moving from intention to implementation, also leveraging the opportunities offered by the European Union, with the example of the Interreg Europe project Debuting – Developing Business Through Inclusiveness and Gender Awareness – New Cluster Competences.

Some key questions to work on:
“How do we engage stakeholders/top management/enterprises who see DEI as a secondary issue?”
“What is the most common barrier in intergenerational collaboration and how digital transformation may help?
“What are the first steps we can take to put it into practice?”
“How can we build experience on EU projects and international collaboration?”
