Mentoring topic
How to turn career experiences into meaningful projects for society?
I am active in leading initiatives supporting the Slovak diaspora and an active member of civil society. I lead projects focused on education, community empowerment, women’s leadership and democratic participation at home and abroad.
Topic: How to turn career experiences into meaningful projects for society?
I got into civic activism when I understood that impact is not just about big decisions, but about small steps that you take where you live and work. I didn’t have to leave my job or career, I just had to start with one specific thing that kept me going. And gradually I discovered that all the skills we carry from the corporate environment have enormous value in communities. I want to show the participants that civic activism can be a realistic and fulfilling part of life outside of work. That you just need to find a topic you believe in and take the first small step.
The mentoring will also include a practical part where each participant will create their own mini-project. From choosing a topic to the first action step that they can complete in a few days. We will focus on finding personal impact, realistic planning, and working with your own energy to make the activity sustainable and meaningful. I want to share my experience that the beginning doesn’t have to be big. It just needs to be real.
