Being visible without apologising: leadership, career strategy, and funding for women

This mentoring session is designed for women who want to move from “doing great work” to being seen, recognised, and resourced for it.
During the session, we will explore:
– how women typically become invisible in organisations, ecosystems, and markets — and how to consciously break these patterns;
– key career decision points where visibility (or lack of it) determines leadership trajectories;
– practical ways to position yourself as an expert, leader, or founder without compromising authenticity;
– how visibility connects to access to grants, investors, and institutional funding for business and social impact projects.
The session combines real-life examples, common behavioural patterns observed in women’s careers, and concrete steps you can take to strengthen your leadership presence and funding readiness. It is particularly relevant for women building leadership careers, scaling businesses, or preparing to apply for grants, fellowships, or investment
Interactive element: participants will take part in a mini-game highlighting the visibility of women inventors, uncovering historical patterns of recognition and bias.
This session is for women ready to take ownership of their professional presence, make strategic career choices, and unlock funding opportunities without waiting for permission.
